1/31/14 Oh to be a fly on the wall....or a grasshopper...or a random creation made of bottle tops.

1/28/14 Haircut Anyone?

Ali's Pic: BTW - i walked 1.5 miles, hitched 1 mile and walked the 2.5 miles back just to get that pic. which is not to complain rather to indicate how hard it is to get a haircut around here.
Marci's pic: This, as I was told this morning, is the establishment of one of the oldest Men's "Barber" in London.

1/27/14 Through The Looking Glass~

Marci's Pic: o.k. this is just one of the glamorous views I saw today around London

1/26/14 Spider Webs and Theatres~

Ali's Pic: A "simple" spider web to remind all of us how hard even the smallest creatures in nature have to work.
Marci's pic: Noel Coward Theatre ceiling. West End. London

Alright. 10 points to whomever gets the connection and reference ;D

Here is a catchup pic, the last from my snowy Rocky Mountains and Ali's difficult tasked companion photo:

1/23/14 To make You Laugh~

Ali's pic: Those are avocados he's juggling by the way!
Marci's Pic: Randomness in the West End

1/22/14

Ali's Pic: Cabuya Island is accessible only at low tide. On the island is the town cemetery. Such an amazingly beautiful and peaceful place.
Marci's pic: Welcome To London folks  Church at the end of Half Moon Street in Mayfair.

A Twist~

So a twist to this project is happening, my locale (this is Marci) will be switching to London as of Wednesday Morning. We are also going to change up the posting as well. One of us will post an original idea, that you will see, and then later that day you will see the rebuttal in dip tic form.
Thanks all for tuning in and spreading the love of our little collaboration!

1/20/14 The Root Of It All~

1/19/14 A River Runs Through It~

Ali'sPic: Rio Lajas~ The Ultimate "Lazy River" Ride. My favorite water park.
Marci's Pic: The Roaring Fork River. Excellent fly fishing, great river rock skipping, and beautiful in the winter~

1/17/14 And The Tree Was Happy~

Ali's Pic: Madre Negro or Pochote tree (their blooms look a lot a like to me!) on my morning walk. The sky was BRILLIANT today.
Marci's Pic: Leaving the girls school, driving along the Roaring Fork. The brush and trees close to the water were still wearing ice, frozen from the night before~

1/16/14 Beach and Berries~

Ali's Pic: My favorite beach finds for today. Full moon high tide resulted in a beautiful beach covered in colorful coral and shell pieces.
Marci's Pic: RoseHips. Edible, Abundant and the bits of color they offer up throughout the winter offer a natural ornament for the snow~

1/15/14 La luna~

Ali's Pic: An almost full moon through the Jobo tree. Not even full and you can already read a book by it.
Marci's Pic: Couldn't catch her heavy in the sky, but caught her being coy behind the clouds...and yes, bright enough to read a book by it!

1/14/14 Looking For A Sign~

Ali's Pic: This picture is funny and telling. Anyone who knows about Spanish knows that double l's are pronounced as a "y" Tortilla, Llama, etc. Obviously no one wrote down the name of the town before making the sign. 😊 Welcome to CabuYa, where nothing goes to waste!
Marci's Pic: Some of our local residents are a beautiful and thriving herd of Elk. Their migration area is basically our back yard.

1/13/14 Birds At Dusk~

Ali's pic: Spectacularly crested woodpecker visible at dusk. I like to think he was doing a little happy dance.
Marci's Pic: We have had a family of Robin that refuse to acknowledge it is winter. This is one of the little fatties

1/12/14 To make you laugh~

Ali's pic: "You made me do this"
Marci's Pic: LOL, I knew the rebuttal would be gloriously tropical, but I HAD to do it! Crazy Blizzard like winds and mounds of snow hit us!

1/11/14 Soaking In the View~

Ali's pic: I love this picture because it gives me the chance to show how beautiful it is here, even in the rain. The fishing boats float at high-tide and sit on the rocks at low tide. The "Mary" was floating high today. Cabuya
Marci's Pic: One of those Epic days on the mountain, fresh powder in abundance, and bluebird skies after days of snow clouds covering the mountain peaks. I love this particular dip tic with Ali as it shows our diverse means of transportation

1/10/14 prints in the Sand/Snow~

Ali's Pic: Trails made by mussels working their way back to the ocean. What makes them do loopedy loos like that? Beautiful and fascinating. Playa Hermosa, Mal Pais
Marci's Pic: Early morning, fresh blanket of snow and the Robin refuse to leave this winter wonderland. Finding refuge under our deck, I found their trail exploring the sandbox and beyond~

1/9/14 In the Trees~

Ali's Pic: One of the hardest things to get a good and accurate picture of is a tree. They are so amazing in their depth and space - it takes a better photographer than I to truly capture it. So instead, I decided to capture pieces of it. Like this gorgeous trunk covered in mammoth pothos plants.
Marci's Pic: So with a fresh layer of snow blanketing the valley, when you walk thru the forest around here, the Aspen seem to be following where ever you go. I love their "eye's" and how they are accentuated on the grey snowy days of winter.

1/8/14 In Flight~

Ali's Pic: This little guy is a Nuthatch. He obliged me by flying a little so he could mimic the balloons taking off. I was totally surprised by the color of the inside of his wings. A friend described the Nuthatch as a bird that didn't have much to say but likes to say it a lot.:)
Marci's Pic: On our frosty morning commute to the kids school we had a gorgeous sunrise topped off by low flying hot air balloon's making their daily trek down our valley. I was really hoping to stump Ali with this one ;), but alas, she found an excellent accompaniment to it with ease!
